Doreen is part of the original team of New Agency Partners. She has been instrumental to the success of the agency, making sure that our personal lines insurance clients are always well taken care of. Here is a quick Q & A with Doreen!
What is your role at New Agency Partners?
I am the personal lines manager, supporting our personal insurance customers.
What would people never guess you do in your role?
Believe it or not, they would never guess that I care about them and their needs.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I really enjoy being able to educate people as to what they have, why they have it, and what they need.
Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
The most interesting job I had prior to working here was at ADP where I was responsible for doing the payroll of the NY Ballet Co. I was the sole person doing their payroll and would work different hours as they traveled the world.
What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I love to shop, of course, but I also love to read and spend time with my family.
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
The one thing I couldn’t live without is family and the great friends I have.
What is your hidden talent or an interesting fact about you?
My hidden talent is crafts. I love to make chocolates, put together arrangements, and work on other creative things.
What is your favorite movie and/or book? Why?
I would have to say one of my all-time favorite movies is A Walk to Remember and my favorite book is Tuesdays with Morrie. Both teach you about life – that you can’t judge a book by its cover. With Morrie, you learn that you need to live life and that you can’t let time pass you by. It’s a very important life lesson.
What is your motto, personal mantra, or favorite quote?
Do unto others… I have lived this way forever. Being in the service business, it is so important to treat my clients the way I would want to be treated. After all, we are all on the receiving end at one time or another!
When are you happiest?
I am happiest at home with family.
