Samantha works as a Client Manager in our Group Benefits department, supporting our brokers as well as our clients on everything related to Employee Benefits. Here is a quick Q & A with Samantha!
What is your role at NAP?
I work with our brokers to assist them in writing and retaining business by marketing lines of coverage, analyzing options, and creating proposals. I also work directly with clients as an extension of their internal team, troubleshooting issues with carriers and working with their employees to help them understand their benefits.
What would people never guess you do in your role?
Clients ask me everything and anything – they share their most intimate issues so I don’t think they would be surprised at anything. Maybe I surprise them by listening and trying to help.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
Being able to solve an issue to the client’s satisfaction.
Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I was a tennis instructor.
What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I love to travel, cook, and spend time with family and friends.
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
My iPhone!
What is your hidden talent or an interesting fact about you?
As a teenager, I spent two summers playing competitive tennis in Italy, Switzerland, France and England.
What is your favorite movie and book? Why?
My favorite book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. It is a story of selfless love and generosity and the changes we go through in relationships in our lives. I always send it to friends when they have a baby.
