Tracy works in the Employee Benefits department and has been instrumental to our success, making sure that our benefits clients are well taken care of. Here is a quick Q & A with Tracy!
What is your role at NAP?
I am a Business Client Manager, supporting our Employee Benefits clients. My responsibilities range from quoting small group health insurance policies in NJ and NY, to handling my clients’ billing and claim issues, to sometimes just lending an ear when my clients need one.
While I directly support the brokers during the sales phase of the business, my main function begins once the account is acquired as I assume complete responsibility for maintaining an extremely positive relationship with the client. Specifically, I act in a liaison role between the insurance company and client and help facilitate a resolution to a myriad of issues. I am also available to their employees directly to help solve any claim or benefit issues that may arise.
I am proficient in my knowledge of the Affordable Care Act, as well as the carriers, underwriting requirements and the benefits/services they offer. I continue to hone my skills by participating in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development. Most importantly, I take pride in what I do and the relationships I have fostered.
What would people never guess you do in your role?
Most people would not guess that I make doctors appointments for my clients.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I really enjoy being able to build a good rapport with my clients.
Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
The most interesting job I had prior to working at NAP was at a gas station.
What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I am an avid fan of traveling to places where most people do not travel. I like to go off the beaten path.
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
The one thing I couldn’t live without is sushi.
What is your hidden talent or an interesting fact about you?
The most interesting fact about me is that I drive a Harley.
What is your favorite movie and/or book? Why?
My favorite movie is The Sixth Sense. I love the storyline because I believe that there are spirits all around us and some can even guide us through life’s twists and turns.
What is your motto, personal mantra, or favorite quote?
My personal mantra is “living the dream!”
When are you happiest?
I am happiest at when I’m spending time with my friends and family.
